The lessons children learn in their first six years stay with them for life. But fragile family situations are often socially isolating for children. This means they miss out on important fundamental experiences. As a result, they are already on an unequal footing when they start pre-school.Together with the Human Safety Net Switzerland foundation, you are helping parents to lay strong foundations for their children’s future despite their difficult circumstances.
Paradiesgässli in Lucerne is a voluntary organisation for families affected by addiction and poverty. Their ‘afternoon meeting’ supports children aged 0–4 and their parents in difficult situations. The meeting cannot take place in 2025 due to a lack of funding. Your donation will help Paradiesgässli to continue with the afternoon meeting from January 2026. This means that young children will be able to receive child-appropriate support in the areas of bonding, movement, language or social development. Parents will receive advice on developing their parenting skills and experience belonging and connection through regular exchanges at the meeting.
Every donation counts. Thank you for your support.
The CharityRun 10KM is the category in which you "do good while running" at the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne! In addition to its charitable character, the CharityRun 10KM also offers you a sporting highlight.
The focus of our fundraising is the ‘10 km charity run’. You can register as a runner in this special category. There is no ranking – your time will be listed alphabetically.
CHF 30 of your entry fee will go directly to the Human Safety Net Switzerland foundation to support this year’s project.

About The Human Safety Net Switzerland
The Human Safety Net Switzerland foundation funds projects in Switzerland that benefit children aged 0 to 6 years and their parents in fragile family situations. Together with its partner organisation, Marie Meierhofer Institut für das Kind (MMI), the foundation focuses on early years education. The foundation was established by the insurer Generali Switzerland in 2019. It serves as the bedrock of its social commitment within Switzerland.
The Human Safety Net Switzerland foundation is supporting the national ‘MegaMarieplus’ programme to empower family centres. Together, they help more young children and parents living in difficult family situations to access high-quality services in their area. The programme is jointly overseen by the Marie Meierhofer Institut für das Kind (MMI) and the Netzwerk Bildung und Familie association.
