1. the event will be organised in accordance with the regulations of the Swiss Athletics Federation Swiss Athletics and in accordance with the categories and distances listed in the invitation to tender.
The courses (marathon, half marathon and 10KM) of the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne are measured in accordance with the AIMS/IAAF regulations.
2. any person who has reached the age specified in the announcement is eligible to start.
3. the organiser may specify a finishing time for each distance in the announcement. Runners who reach the finish after this time will not be classified.
At the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne, the end of the official race is determined by the "broom wagon", which is on its way so that it arrives at the finish at the end of the race. Runners who are overtaken by the "broom wagon" must hand in their race number and are no longer part of the official race. Catering and other services are no longer available behind the "broom wagon".
4. timekeeping is carried out by means of a chip integrated in the start number.
5. the race number must be fully visible at all times and must be worn on the front of the body on the outermost item of clothing. To ensure accurate timekeeping, the race number must not be folded or creased. It must also not be covered by a jacket, a running belt, a water bottle or any other object. If the race number is not worn correctly, it is possible that the finishing time and split times will not be recorded and no valid classification will result. A lost race number must be reported to the event staff as soon as possible.
6 The race number is assigned to each participant by the organiser and may not be transferred, reproduced, replicated or altered under any circumstances. The race number may not be given or sold to another person, or taken over or purchased by another person. Participation with an unofficial start number or without a start number is not permitted.
7. the classification in the age groups within a competition is based on net times (actual time run from start to finish line). In the overall and performance rankings, the first ten runners are ranked according to the time they finish. No net times are recorded after the start, the running times are calculated from the time of the starting shot. At the Lucerne Cross, timekeeping and classification are based on gross times (measured from the starting shot).
8. it is the responsibility of the participants to arrive at the start at the times allocated to them.
Only valid at the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne: Runners may go back to later start times, but may not go forward to earlier start slots. Any participant who climbs over a barrier or gains access in any other unauthorised way may be disqualified. The organiser reserves the right not to allow certain persons to start late for safety reasons.
9. the start is signalled by an acoustic signal. All participants must stand behind the start line at the start.
10. the instructions of the course staff must be strictly followed. Private escorts of runners, in particular with vehicles of any kind, especially bicycles and inline skates, are not permitted. There is a general driving ban on the entire running course. Dogs, pushchairs etc. are not permitted! Shortcuts and unauthorised aids are prohibited. Participation with a wheelchair is not possible for safety reasons.
Exception: Participation in the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne is only possible in the "Roll&Run-Duo" from Plusport.
11 Participants must remain within the boundaries of the running course at all times. The running course is typically marked by barriers, pylons, boundaries and/or other markings.
12. runners who do not complete the entire running course will be disqualified. Participants with missing or irregular individual times at the official time control posts will be checked and disqualified if necessary.
13 Violations of these regulations may be penalised with disqualification and suspension from further SwissCityMarathon events. The organiser reserves the right to record all facts and circumstances, including repeated violations, and to impose such penalties as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion.
