The SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne is committed to organising an event that is as environmentally friendly as possible. To this end, the following measures are being implemented.
Free journey by public transport
Die im Rahmen des SwissCityMarathons verursachten CO2 Emissionen stammen zu 75% aus der Anreise der Teilnehmenden. Dank dem Swiss Runners Ticket ist die Anreise aus der ganzen Schweiz für die Teilnehmenden gratis.
Voluntary environmental franc
When registering online, you have the option of donating a voluntary environmental franc. The proceeds will be used to support the "LUZERN-KRIENS-PILATUS" forest climate protection project of the Lucerne Corporation will be supported.
EVENTprofile
The EVENTprofile from "saubere Veranstaltung" helps us to plan, evaluate and communicate our event. It systematically guides us through possible fields of activity and measures, evaluates our current commitment and gives us the opportunity to communicate our event profile to a broad public.
Runner Agreement
The RunnerAgreementis a voluntary promise and commitment on your part, in which YOU as a runner support us in our sustainability endeavours and act sustainably in accordance with the points below.
Swisstainable
The SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne is part of the Swisstainable programme. This commitment promotes sustainable tourism in Switzerland with a focus on environmental awareness, regionality and responsibility.
AIMS Green Award
The AIMS recognised the efforts of the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne in terms of sustainability and presented the "AIMS Green Award" to those responsible at the Awards Gala on 9 November 2018 in Athens.
