A highlight of the various donation possibilities will be the "UNICEF Extra Mile", which is made possible by the company MSD Switzerland. MSD Merck Sharp & Dohme AG is a research-based biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Extra Mile is located behind the finish line in the area of the Swiss Museum of Transport. MSD donates an amount to UNICEF for every runner who completes this additional round.
- Participation in UNICEF Extra Mile is free of charge for all runners.
- Spectators can also take part
- For each participant, MSD donates one contribution to UNICEF.
- At least 2,000 runners must cover the extra mile in order to achieve the donation amount of CHF 20,000 promised by MSD.
