Thanks to the support of the canton of Nidwalden, runners can now also train, compare notes and exchange ideas along the Engelberger Aa.
The new route in Oberdorf runs for 5.2 kilometres along the Engelberger Aa. The flat route is suitable both for first running experiences and as a regular test route for speed runs. You can start from both sides, at Swissint Oberdorf and at Bünter Fenster AG, where the timing stations are installed.
This expansion makes Oberdorf the third official RUN365 location after Lucerne (Rotsee) and Horw. The canton of Nidwalden is not only supporting the new marathon route of the SwissCityMarathon Lucerne, which also crosses the cantons of Nidwalden and Obwalden for the first time, but is also creating a sustainable exercise programme for the population with RUN365 - free of charge and right on the doorstep.
The third RUN365 Challenge will take place on the new route to kick things off. Although the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne 2025 is already sold out, runners have the chance to win one of the coveted starting places. Anyone who completes the 5.2 kilometres between Friday, 12 September and Sunday, 21 September 2025 will automatically be entered into the prize draw.
