Team Swiss Marathon Championships

At the Swiss Marathon Championships, the title of "Team Swiss Champion" is awarded in the men's and women's categories.

A team consists of 5 runners from the same club or LG. The clubs/clubs must be members of Swiss Athletics.

At least two of the ranked runners must be of Swiss or Liechtenstein nationality.

The team ranking is determined by adding together the times of the 3 fastest runners in a team. In the event of equal times, the better rank of the best-ranked runner(s) per team is decisive. The results from all categories are taken into account to determine the team ranking.

Titles and medals are only awarded if at least 3 teams are entered by the closing date for entries and 3 teams are also classified. The three best-ranked teams will be honoured and will take part in the award ceremony, if it takes place.

LGs and clubs wishing to take part in the Swiss Marathon Team Championships should register directly in the individual registration form, where they can enter their team affiliation in the "SM team classification" field.

Registration of a team is possible until Tuesday, 20 October 2026, 11.59 pm.

Team membership can also be entered/adjusted after registration (until 24 October 2026) using the personal editing link from TrackMaxx, which will be sent with the registration confirmation. Subsequent changes must be made at the Trouble Desk on site up to one hour before the start.

Supervisors

Coaches may not accompany runners on the course either on foot or in a vehicle. They are not allowed to cater for participants on the course during the run.

There are refreshment stations along the course. See the organiser's catering plan. Runners may not be catered for outside these refreshment stations.
