A very special honour awaits the overall winners of the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne: the prizes come from the traditional Glasi Hergiswil, which is located directly on the new marathon route and has stood for Swiss craftsmanship, quality and sustainability since 1817. On their way to the finish line, the marathon participants run past the very place where their prizes are created.
The overall first place winners in the marathon, half marathon and CityRun 10KM will receive a handmade glass model of Mount Pilatus - a work of art that reflects the striking mountain, which connects the cantons of Lucerne, Nidwalden and Obwalden, in fine glass.
The overall second and third place winners are honoured with mouth-blown glasses from the manufactory - unique pieces that are painstakingly handcrafted and thus stand for durability and value.
In this way, top sporting achievements are honoured with prizes that are just as unique and lasting as the runners' successes.
