With the registration the runner declares to be fit & healthy, to have trained to a sufficient level for participating in the race and therefore being in good physical condition.
The participant confirms with the registration that he/she has read the following advices: Severe exertion duing or short after any kind of fever is extremely dangerous. If you are in one of these states you must withdraw from the race. Make sure to drink enough liquids before, during and after the race. In case of feeling bad during the race, e.g. shortness of breath, dizziness, exhaustion, great pain etc., you should stop running and visit the next first aid station.
If you think to be much more physically active at the upcoming event than you are normally, please answer the following questions in this form. If you answer one of these questions with YES, you need to visit a sports physiotherapist or a doctor for a check-up. If you are between 35 and 60 years of age, a pre-check is reasonable. If you are older than 60 years, a check-up is highly recommanded.
Along the race course there are several first aid stations at regular intervals, where a doctor or medical staff will help (see also course map for the positioning). At the finish is a medical tent, where emergencies can be treated. The medical support along the course and at the finish area is included in the entry fee. Moreover, there are ambulances ready along the course to hospitalize a runner in emergency. The transportation to the hospital and any treatments at the hospital are not included in the entry fee.
With the registration the participant accepts the official rules published ba the SwissCityMarathon - Lucerne. The runner declares to be fit and healthy, to have trained to a sufficient level for participating in the race and therefore being in a good physical condition.
